Healthwatch Luton have the statutory remit to gather resident views on health and care. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Healthwatch Luton (HWL) moved some methods to online teams forums – called Listening Events. These forums allowed members of the public affected by certain topics a way of providing their experiences.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Healthwatch Luton continued to gather views online via teams / zoom and surveys to capture people’s views. In 2022 we began to also reinstate our face to face engagement, working in
the community to gather views and feedback on services.
Our Listening Events are created from subjects or topics raised by Luton residents where they wish to give feedback in this medium - This listening Event Focused on Fibromyalgia.

The purpose of the event was to explore people’s experiences , what they felt worked with regards to support from health and social care services, what hadn’t worked and their thoughts on improving support
